William L. Grote

William L. "Bill" Grote, 89, Dec. 9, 2023, Miami Township. Beloved husband of Estelle G. Grote (nee Osborne), devoted father of Douglas Grote (Cheryl), Timothy Grote and Brian Grote (Jennifer), loving grandfather of Ashley, Alex, Wade, Michelle, Dylan, Lydia, Hannah and Teeyon, great grandfather of 11, beloved son of the late Jessie (nee Styles) and Frank Grote, loving brother of 12. Bill was married for 64 years and his life was devoted to his family. He was one of the most hardworking men, always offering to help lend a hand to family and neighbors. Although often a man of few words, his actions and ability to fix almost any problem, from a leaky sink to building a home, spoke volumes about his love for his family and his giving nature for his friends. Bill retired from the Cincinnati Enquirer after 28 years. He was also a devoted member of Zion United Methodist Church. Visitation Sat., Dec. 23, 2023, from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 10:30 AM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH 45002. Interment to follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens.
