Obituary

Milton K. Blersch, 84, passed away on January 15, 2026. He was the oldest son of the late Milton C. and Marie (Isaack) Blersch and was a lifelong resident of Cincinnati. Milt was a 1959 graduate of Colerain High School, where he loved being in the marching band, and a 1965 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He was the owner and proprietor of Peri’s Pancakes in downtown Cincinnati, selling Peri’s in 1982 to devote more time to building a CPA practice. In 1984 he renovated a building in Western Hills to become his office and soon afterward made Scott Wiesner a partner in Blersch-Wiesner & Co, CPAs. Milt enjoyed his work as a CPA for nearly 40 years.

In 1965 he married Fay Filter in Concordia Lutheran Church and they enjoyed a 49-year marriage. They enjoyed sailing, and flying to visit children and grandchildren in his small plane. Milt loved flying for Angel Flights, transporting sick children and their families to hospitals. Milt was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church for more than 50 years, serving in many capacities. He particularly enjoyed singing in the choir and in a men’s Barbershop-style quartet. In 2014 he married Berdie Marsh, longtime friend. Milt loved the woods, being a swimming instructor, camping, and hiking. He and Berdie visited many National Parks and enjoyed working together on home improvement projects, as he had done as the father of his young family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay, and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Berdie (formerly Berdie Marsh), son Jeffrey Blersch (Carla), son Keith Blersch (Patti), and four grandchildren, Aaron (Kelsey), Ryan, Jenna, and Piper Blersch. He is also survived by his sister, Gail Gilliland, his brother, Stuart Blersch, sister-in-law Lois Oyler (Steve), and by Rob Marsh, and Andrew and Amy Marsh, Anna and Samantha.

Milt’s family wishes to extend their gratitude for the loving care he received at Artis Memory Care Residence and by Hospice of Cincinnati. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
