Linda Sue Cornett

January 27, 1944 — October 21, 2023

Linda Sue Cornett, 79, Oct. 23, 2023, Cleves, OH. Beloved wife of the late Ellis R. “Ray” Cornett, dear mother of Stephanie Cornett (Will Benson), Melanie (Tim) Sizemore, Raymond Cornett (Alyssa Meiszinger), & the late infant daughter Taronda Cornett, loving grandma of Ashley (Ric) Noel, Aaron Blake Elliott, Courtney Tyler (Brandon Williams), Chelsea Tyler, Tim (LaRain Owen) Sizemore, Jacob (Bethany) Bryant, Nicole (Anthony) McQuinn, Michael (Hailey Sizemore) Sizemore, great grandma of Jada Murphy, Haidyn Noel, Bianca Noel, Pypier Noel, Quynn Noel, Scarlett Tyler, Maya Williams, Luna Elliott, Emma McQuinn, Isaiah Williams & great great grandma of Kiyah Murphy, beloved daughter of Norma (nee Yochum) and William Robinson, dear big sister of Bill (Nellie) Robinson & Jill Robinson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins & many friends. Linda's life began with a home birth in Addyston, OH while her father was serving in WWII. Many stories of her stubbornness as a child to her teens have brought the family many laughs throughout the years. Linda was a competitive Fire Twirling Majorette and the First Female Drum Majorette at her high school from which she graduated, Taylor High School in North Bend, OH. From there, with her husband of 60 years, Linda became an Army Wife, A Pastor’s Wife, Sunday School Teacher, Proud Drill Team, Softball & T-ball Mom, (she cheered 110% for all her kids & grandkids in their many endeavors.) Three Rivers Middle School Lunch Lady, a Vinyl Repair Business Owner, and her toughest final job as a Label Rewinder  ended in the late 90’s. She worked hard to make sure her family had any extras needed. Linda loved Jesus, the beach, crocheting, board games, was a self taught piano player, self taught computer wiz where she was a talented tag creator, had beautiful handwriting, and was an avid reader. The title that most stands out was Grandma. Linda could be found rollerskating at their birthday parties, playing board games, drawing & cooking us all a delicious meal. She was known for saying PSSST then mouthing “I LOVE YOU” to the family and singing “You are My Sunshine”. Nothing, outside of Ray, brought more joy to her face than when one of the grandchildren walked into her room. They could find their pictures hanging for her to see daily. Linda is running the streets of Heaven with all who had been waiting for her! She is pain free & no longer 90% bedridden. Services are private.
