Juanita Grace Lacey (nee Smith), 91, Sept. 8, 2022, formerly of Harrison, OH. Loving wife of 65 years of the late Robert "Bob" Lacey, devoted mother of Linda Krinop (the late Paul) & Robin Johnson (Bill), loving grandmother of Tracy Cleveland (Marcus), Winnie Cooper (Ty) & Cody Johnson (Kayla) & great grandmother of Xavier Simpson & Benjamin Howell, beloved daughter of the late Edna (nee Webster) & John Smith, dear sister of the late Howard & Tom Smith. Also survived by many nephews & nieces. Juanita married at age 16; she & Bob an example of opposites attracting. He was gregarious, "Mr. Community" & she, perfectly content at home, quilting, crafting, gardening, painting, caring for her own & other people's children. She did serve as a Brownie & Girl Scout leader when Linda & Robin were those ages. The expression of faith for Juanita & Bob was the local Methodist Church; the Addyston UMC & later, the Dearborn Hills UMC. After Bob's death, she worshipped at the First Presbyterian Church of Harrison. Juanita was not a pushover, she had deep convictions & a strong sense of justice. She was known as industrious, resourceful & inclined to laughter. She will be missed & forever remembered by her family & friends. Visitation Thurs., Sept. 15, 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH 45002. (Miami Ave. closed at East State-enter off Rt. 50 at Mt. Nebo Rd.) Interment following at Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials, if so desired, may be directed to one of Juanita & Bob's favorite causes, the "Happy Lady Orphanage" (checks payable to Hearts & Hands for Haiti), c/o the funeral home.
