Joyce Loraine Schumann Black, age 83, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on March 22, 2026. Born on August 5, 1942, to Paul and May Schumann, Joyce was a woman defined by her deep capacity to love and her unwavering faith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lonnie L. Black, and is survived by her children, Angela and Michael Black, and her cherished grandchild, Meghann Black. Joyce will be remembered for her love of family, traveling, and reading. In her later life, she found great joy in the companionship of her dog, Hope, and in volunteering with the Krohn Conservatory and the Covedale Theater. An avid socialite, she also loved to shop, dine out, and spend time with her many friends, by whom she will be truly missed.

A faithful and devout Christian, Joyce was an active member of the Western Hills Church of Christ. Whether she was teaching Bible school, helping with the youth group, or enjoying the ladies' fellowship group, she truly found her calling in serving others.
