John James Taylor, 80, of Cleves, Ohio, passed away surrounded by family and love on December 2, 2025. Born on January 22, 1945, to Alice and James Taylor, John was the youngest of three children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Louise (Taylor)Hardy; his brother, Carl Taylor; and his beloved daughter, Kimberly (Taylor) Kerns.
John shared 60 years of marriage with the love of his life, Connie (McGue) Taylor, who survives him. He leaves behind his two sons, John Benson Taylor & his wife, Sarah, and Michael Todd Taylor & his wife, Laurel, and four cherished grandchildren: Chelsea (Taylor) Dickerson, Alicia Taylor, James Kerns, and Matthew Kerns.
A proud union operating engineer, John found purpose and fulfillment in a lifelong career he truly enjoyed. Outside of work, he was an avid outdoorsman. Whether hunting in the early morning quiet or casting a line into his favorite fishing spot, John felt most at peace in nature.
Above all, John was a family man. He was known for his unwavering devotion, steady presence, and for always putting loved ones first. His legacy will live on in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
John will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, his strength, and the love he gave so freely.
