James William Wachter Jr., of Miami Heights passed away on December 23, 2025 at the age of 70, with his wife and son at his side. Beloved husband for 48 years of Sharon Roenker Wachter, devoted father of Timothy A. Wachter (Julie) & the late Michael J. Wachter, loving grandfather of Ava & Tanner Wachter, Hannah Hughes, Kylie & Kaitlyn Kramer, beloved son of the late Lois (nee Manis) & James W. Wachter Sr., dear brother of Sheila Wachter & the late Shirley Wohlfrom (Raymond) & Willodene Puckett (Jim), brother-in-law of Steve Roenker & Jean St. John & uncle of Natalie, Makayla, Joe, Steve & Nicole. Jim had a career with Kroger, was a member of UFCW Local 1099 and graduated from Taylor High School in 1973. Jim enjoyed watching old TV programs having seen every episode of “Daniel Boone” and “The Rifleman” at least 5 times. He was a lifelong, often frustrated Bengals fan. Jim created many wonderful memories with his family. He was a teller of outlandish, unbelievable “tall tales” with Mike and Tim at bedtime along with memories of camping trips, vacations, zoo and museum trips and afternoons playing board games. He found comfort and satisfaction from seeing his sons grow to be good men and devoted fathers. His greatest joy was spending time with the grandchildren. Friends are invited to join the family on Sat., Jan. 3, for a visitation from 2 PM until time of service at 3 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami Ave., Cleves, OH 45002. Reception immediately following the service. The family prefers that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to My Nose Turns Red Youth Circus, POB 14445, Cinti. 45250 www.mynoseturnsred.org
