James M. "Mick" Pope, 81, resident of North Bend, died on Sept. 18 at Shawnee Spring Health Care in Harrison, OH.
He was a longtime Whitewater Township farmer, a US Army veteran of the Korean War & a member of St. Joseph Parish, North Bend, OH.
He was the beloved husband of Eleanor D. Pope, the devoted father of Pamela Hornsby (Ray), Deborah Charlson (Charlie), Christina Sutton & Mark Pope, the loving grandfather of Dr. Katherine Hornsby, Michael Hornsby & Melinda Hughes (Chris) & gr. grandfather of Rylie Hughes & the dear brother of Walter Lee "Shorty" Pope (Ruth). Also survived by nieces & nephews. Dear son of the late Jennings & Edith (Boland) Pope.
Visitation Wed., Sept. 22, 6-9 PM at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves. Mass of the Christian Burial Thurs., Sept. 23, 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, 25 E. Harrison Ave., North Bend, OH 45052. Interment with military honors in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Harrison, OH. Memorials may be directed to debt reduction at St. Joseph Church, North Bend.
