Scottsdale, AZ – On June 8, 2022, Jack Edward Cornett, passed away peacefully at the age of 90. Jack Cornett was born August 10, 1931, in Ashland Kentucky by Oscar Cornett (1906-2003) and Emma Mae Cornett(Smith) (1909-2003). He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Thie Cornett (nee Young) and the late Dorothea E Cornett (Vandewalle); devoted father of Richard (Andrea) Cornett, Ann (Luis Jr. M.D.) Gonzalez & James (Barb) Cornett; stepfather to Paul (Donna) Thie Jr., Mark (Julia) Thie & James (Cynthia) Thie; loving grandfather to Elizabeth (Dave) Mangano, Andrew Cornett (Miriam Hadj-Moussa, M.D.), Bridget Cornett, M.D. (Eric Schweizer), Maria (Mark) Rohrbacher, Crista (Bill) Khourie, Navy Commander Peter Cornett (Jenny) & Jon Cornett; step-grandfather to Paige (Lance) White & Rad (Kate) Thie; great-grandfather to Olivia & Hailey Mangano, Sia & Aaron Cornett, Eleanor & Jack Rohrbacher, Joe & Madison Khourie, Diego, Sierra & Noah Cornett; step-great-grandfather to Maddox & Oliver White, Lane & Beckett Thie.
Jack graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a B.S. in mathematics and from the University of Cincinnati with a Masters in mathematics. He proudly served in the United States Air Force at Wright -Patterson AFB. He worked at General Electric Jet Engine Division for 36 years.

The service will be held on Thursday, June 16th in the Chapel at Twin Towers Retirement Community at the above address. The viewing will start at 10:30 and the service at 11:00. Please enter thru the Welcome Center to be checked in. Masks are required when walking thru common areas. Immediately following will be a procession to Spring Grove Cemetery , 4521 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45232.
