Hartwick H.
Luebkeman
Apr 5, 1938 — Aug 17, 2026
Lawrenceburg, IN
Hartwick (Hart) Hopkins Luebkeman
Sailed into a glorious Sunset on August 17, 2026.
Hart was a man of many dimensions. He loved his family and friends, throwing parties and organizing every tiny detail on yellow legal pads and many post-it notes. He loved old country and bluegrass, spectacular food, conversations with family friends, and strangers. Take all of this, his infectious smile, and the $2 dollar bills he’d give away, you have Hart in a nutshell.
Survived by his dearest partner Elaine Collins; his sons Chris Luebkeman, Steve Luebkeman (Sara) ,
Elaines’s Daughters, Julie Thacker (Jim) & Jennifer Kiefer (Ryan)
Grandchildren George, Kate (Chris) Ben, Meg (Steve)
Grandchildren Braeden, Wiley Glasgow (Jennifer) Ben & Liam Kiefer, Alex (Serena) Murphy-White (Ryan)
Hart, previously the owner of Trius Products in Cleves, OH, was very involved in his community. He was a member of the Cleves Three Rivers Kiwanis, North Bend Lodge for the Masonic Order, Shriners International, and Shriners International Clown Division (Skates the Clown).
Through the years, Hart was always very active—football and track, then skiing, racquetball, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, powerboating, and cycling (which he did until just a few months ago.) If it floated, Hart wanted to captain the vessel. He also loved going to Bristol for the NASCAR races, but if you asked him why, it was the people and the social aspect of the event.
Hart had a passion for Bluegrass Music like no other and loved to travel to hear his favorites, especially to Bean Blossom with his fellow bluegrass enthusiasts.
Most of all, Hart loved to plan a party! Details were his absolute favorite along with a yellow legal pad with a good list on it (Post it Notes too). If you asked almost anyone, it is safe to say that Hart loved being with people and experiencing life. He was often referred to as the “Social Planner” and “Social Butterfly” He was definitely in charge of the calendar. Family and Friends were what was most important to him and spending all the time you could with them.
Hart’s Party will be held in October Date TBD but in TRUE HART FASHION!
