Elaine M. Kruse (nee Goldschmidt), 74, Sept. 1, 2026, Miami Township.

Elaine was the beloved wife of Steve Kruse, for over 46 years, and devoted mother of Megan Knapke (Eric). She was the loving grammy of Ellie & Graham and dear sister of Tom Goldschmidt (Ann) & Nancy Ellert (the late Michael). She is also survived by many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Mary (nee Brinkman) & Wilfrid Goldschmidt.

After leaving the education field, Elaine spent the majority of her life volunteering. She was involved in many school and community organizations which her daughter was a part of. She also might be fondly remembered by the majority of friends and family of Cincinnati as the Cookie Lady.

But truly Elaine's greatest joy was being “Grammy” to Ellie and Graham. Spending time with the two of them was what brought her the most peace and joy. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to consider making a donation to one of the organizations below which will help make a difference with her grandkids and continue her legacy of giving back to the community.
