Dolores Upchurch

Dolores Upchurch (nee Calloway), died on Oct. 27, 2026 at the age of 94. She was a lifelong resident of North Bend, OH. Dolores was a 1950 graduate of Taylor High School, North Bend. She earned undergraduate & graduate degrees from Miami of Ohio & had a career as an elementary teacher at the Miamitown Elementary School in the Southwest Local School District. She was a devoted member of the North Bend Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School & served in nearly every office of the church at one time or another. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Grant Upchurch, by 2 sons, David & Gregory Upchurch, by her parents, Okla (nee Miller) & Elmer "Pete" Calloway & by her brother, Rudy Calloway (the late Ida Jean). She is survived by grandchildren, Kiersten Rogers (John Michael) & Ryne Upchurch & great grandchildren, Liam Grant Rogers & Bentley Allen Upchurch. Friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service, Mon., Nov. 2, 11 AM at the Miamitown Cemetery, Miamitown, OH. A luncheon will follow at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S.
