The family of David James Lahey and Ruth Ann Lahey, longtime residents of Cincinnati, Ohio, announces with deep sadness their passing in 2026. David, age 87, passed away on February 11, 2026, followed by his wife of 36 years, Ruth Ann, age 85, on September 28, 2026. Together, they shared a life built upon devotion to family and enduring friendships. 

David was the father of John Valentine Lahey and Stephen Patrick Lahey (Jamie Asaye FitzGerald Lahey). Ruth Ann was the mother of Joseph Bernard Wickman II (Wendy Sue Wickman). Their family included five cherished grandchildren: Dean Joseph Wickman, Kara Jolie Wickman, Lila June Wickman, Kohana Eleanor Lahey, and Matea Shiori Lahey. They are also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. 

Through their marriage, David and Ruth Ann brought their families together, leaving a legacy enriched by family gatherings and the many memories created over the years. Their passing within the same year marks the end of a meaningful chapter, yet their influence will endure through the children, grandchildren, and friendships they loved. 

In accordance with the family's wishes, no formal memorial service will be held. The family invites those who knew David and Ruth Ann to honor their memory in their own personal way.
