Daria Cecile "Dee" Luebbe (née Korte), age 89, of Hidden Valley Lake, Indiana, passed away on June 7, 2026. Dee was the beloved wife of the late Fred "Duke" Luebbe Jr.; devoted mother of Janet Luebbe, Steven (Jenny) Luebbe, Jill (Ken) Miller, and Mike (Jill) Luebbe; loving grandmother of Mitchell, Kimberly, Jack, Christina, Josie, Nick, Corissa, Grace, Sara, and Sydney, and the late Max; cherished great-grandmother of Charlie; beloved daughter of the late Cecelia (née Tallen) and Herman Korte; and dear sister of the late Margaret "Marny" (Al) Cook, Kenneth Korte, Hillary Jane (Bill) Manley, Justin "Jay" (Charlotte) Korte, Quentin "Bill" (Lyn) Korte, Rainer "Ray" Korte, and Brendan (Martha) Korte. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Dee worked as a secretary at St. Antoninus Church, where she and Duke raised their family and built a life rooted in faith, service, and community. She was actively involved in parish life and was known for her kindness, dedication, and willingness to help others. An avid bowler and bridge player, Dee also loved traveling with Duke and their many friends.
Later in life, she discovered a passion for golf that brought her great joy for many years. She was an active member of Hidden Valley Golf Club, where she played in and helped organize tournaments, forming many treasured friendships along the way. Dee and Duke fulfilled a lifelong dream when they built their home at Hidden Valley Lake, where they enjoyed their retirement years together. While she had many interests and talents, her greatest joy was her family. She treasured her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and nothing made her happier than time spent with those she loved. A gifted homemaker, Dee loved cooking, sewing, and designing beautiful quilts. She also had a special place in her heart for animals and couldn’t say no to one that needed a home, much to Duke's dismay.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, June 11, at St. Joseph Church, 25 E. Harrison Ave., North Bend, Ohio, for a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph New Cemetery.
