Carolyn Elizabeth Proffitt, 80, of Cleves, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, leaving behind a life marked by love, devotion, and cherished memories shared with family and friends. Carolyn was the devoted mother of Becky Wright (Kelly) and loving grandmother of Hazel Wright. She was the dear sister of Dale Proffitt (Tina); stepsisters Linda Mounts, Debbie Ishmael, and Karen Beckerich; stepbrother Billy Groger; and the beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys (Cromer) and Bill Groger; sisters Shirley Harding and Ruby Anne Proffitt; brothers Darrell Proffitt and Eugene Proffitt.

Those who knew Carolyn will remember her as a woman of strength, warmth, and devotion. Carolyn had a deep love for music, Bengals, and euchre. She had a wonderful sense of humor and playfulness. Her love for her family and friends was generous and unconditional, and it was reflected in the love and kindness she extended to everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami Ave., Cleves, OH 45002.
