Carolyn (Carol) Rose Loew (nee Muenich), age 87, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. 

Carol was born on April 9, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Frank and Rose (Terbeck) Muenich. She had a very active social life, maintained many lifelong friendships, and was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Carol graduated from Mother of Mercy High School in 1957 and then worked at Western & Southern Insurance. In early 1966, while out with friends at The Mustang Room in Western Bowl, she met a handsome young Cincinnati Firefighter named Bob and they danced the night away. A short six months later, November 19, 1966, they were married at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Northside. Over the next four years, they had four children and continued to enjoy a rich social life with many friends and family.

In 1992, Carol and Bob moved to Hidden Valley Lake, Indiana where they enjoyed golf, their house overlooking the golf course, and where they made even more dear friends. Carol was active in the ladies golf leagues for many years and enjoyed the couples events and tournaments as well. Her family thinks she hit it straight every time! While simultaneously raising their four kids, Carol worked in the dress and coat department at McAlpin’s in Western Hills Plaza, retiring in 1998.

Carol enjoyed spending time shopping at TJ Maxx & Kohl’s, playing golf, cheering on the Reds, Bengals & Bearcats, traveling with Bob, watching their kids’ & grandkids’ school & sporting events, but mostly spending as much time as possible with her beloved grandchildren.

Carol will be lovingly remembered by Bob, her husband of 59 years; her children: Bobby (Jen) of Cincinnati, Ohio; Lori (Jeff) Halldow of Naperville, Illinois; Larry (Valerie Hill) of Columbus, Ohio; and Vicki (Ali) Sadoughian of Maineville, Ohio; grandchildren Cassie, Carly, Courtney, Camryn, Justin, Megan and AJ; her beloved brother Norm (Ruth Ann) Muenich and many other relatives and friends.

Friends and family will be received at 9:00 AM Saturday, February 7, 2026 with a Catholic funeral mass to follow at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 25 East Harrison Avenue North Bend, Ohio 45052.
