Barbara Jeanne (Fogelman) Dehner, 78, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 14, 2021. She was born on July 26, 1942 to the late James and Clara (Espenshied) Fogelman of Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Mother of Mercy High School and then attended St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio where she obtained her LPN. She worked at St. Francis Hospital for four years and then continued her nursing career over a span of 20 years at several nursing homes. On February 12, 1966, she married Jerome Michael Dehner and shared 55 wonderful years together.
Barb adored her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all. Barb made sure she took special care of all her patients at the nursing homes. She enjoyed celebrations and entertaining her friends and family. She also thoroughly enjoyed playing games with family and friends. She especially loved playing Scrabble each morning with her husband, Jerry. She was a member of St. Joseph Ladies Society and St. Joseph Knight of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a Red Hat lady.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerome M. Dehner of 55 years, sons David (Debbie) Dehner, Thomas (Melissa) Dehner, Michael (Theresa) Dehner; daughters Denise (James “Hunk”) Sedler, Anita (Carson) Phillips; grandchildren Chad Hilbert, Nicholas Pflum, Nick (Brooke) Foret, Melody Kandil, Tommy (TJ) Dehner, Stephanie Spenny, Ashley Sedler, Matthew Sedler, Jacob Dehner, Lindsey Phillips, Carson II Phillips, Kylee and Summer Phillips. Great grandmother of Hunter Foret; sisters, Ruth Fogelman and Eileen Murray; sister-in-law Marilyn Fogelman and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clara Fogelman, brother Jim Fogelman, sister Mary and brother-in-law Eddie Mendenhall, brother-in-law Jack Murray and son Lawrence J. Dehner.
Visitation will be held at Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami Ave., Cleves, OH 45002, from 5 to 9 pm on Friday, March 19, 2021.
Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, 25 E. Harrison Ave., North Bend, OH at 10:00 am Saturday, March 20, 2021.
Burial at St. Aloysius Cemetery, 3350 Chapel Road, Shandon, Ohio.
