Wayne Woodmansee

November 21, 1962 — December 20, 2021

Wayne Woodmansee, 59, of Cleves, Ohio, passed away suddenly on December 20th, 2021.

Survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Bobbi (nee Veeneman), and daughters Wendy (Tyler) and Emily (Michael), future “Pappy” to Jameson, furry companion, Ellie, sisters Bev (late Maury), Debbie (late Joe), Cindy (Rocky), April (Dave), and Monica (Danny), many nieces and nephews, including an entire family of in laws who equally adored him. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Flora Mae and Wayne, twin sister, Wendy, and niece, Brooke.

Wayne was the proud owner of Woodmansee Limousine and Woodmansee Trucking. He thoroughly enjoyed many years of working in the entertainment industry, followed by many more years in the far less formal construction industry. He had a passion for working with people and providing unforgettable experiences to all he knew through his businesses and beyond.

Wayne, although taken too soon, lived a full life of love for his family and friends. He was a man who never met a stranger. Holidays and family gatherings often welcomed a new face as Wayne always included anyone who did not have a place to go that day. Wayne truly had a heart of gold that was always willing to give all he had.

Wayne’s greatest joys could be found in his loving wife and children daily. Most weekends were spent together on the lake, at the racetrack, watching football games, or storytelling around a fire. Anyone who knew Wayne knew it did not take much to have a memorable time so long as he was around, especially “his girls”.

Wayne was the starting quarterback at Taylor High School beginning his freshman year and went on to play college football at Georgetown and University of Cincinnati. He knows he took a lot of hits to the head in his football days. Wayne wished to donate his body to science (specifically his brain after seeing the movie “Concussion”), but due to specific requirements, he was unable. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that a donation to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for the Body Donation Program ( https://giveto.uc.edu/give ) be made in his memory.

Friends & family can gather to reminisce about Wayne and his legacy in a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Agner Hall at Dearborn County Fairgrounds located at 351 E. Eads Parkway (Rt. 50), Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Open House will be from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. There will be snacks and light refreshments. Please dress comfortably as that is how he would prefer.
