Patricia Carlson

Patricia “Patty” Margot Carlson (nee Ilsley), age 74, of Cincinnati passed away on January 2nd, 2021.

Patty was born to Alfred and Dionne Ilsley on December 5th, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. She grew up in Long Island and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1964. She then attended Ohio University in Athens, OH which she graduated from in 1968. It was there that she met her husband, Ronald Carlson. They were married on September 14th, 1968. They eventually settled in Cincinnati where they raised two sons. Patty spent many years as a Registered Nurse at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati and co-founded a travel agency located in Delhi, Ohio. Patty was very involved with her community throughout her life. She was actively involved with Three Rivers Schools and Athletics while her sons were students and stayed involved with the Taylor Alumni Choir and the Miller-Stockum Post 485 VFW in Cleves throughout her life.

While Patty was very involved in her community, Cincinnati was really only a home base from which to plan her next travel adventure. It was the love of travel that most defined Patty’s life. With her husband, family and friends; she literally traveled the world. With many cruises and hundreds of thousands of airline miles, Patty had an opportunity to see the wonders of world and spend quality time with those that she loved.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert (Kathleen) Carlson and Douglas (Kimberly) Carlson; her sister Lauryn Lindemann; and her six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Dionne; and husband, Ronald.

Visitation will be held at Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 South Miami Ave, Cleves, OH 45002 from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Friday January 8th. Please wear face coverings and adhere to appropriate social distancing requirements.
