James G. "Jim" Nienaber

James G. “Jim” Nienaber, 72, March 28, 2021. Beloved husband of Patti Nienaber (nee Striet), devoted father of Kristi Keyes (Rusty) & Kati Carter (Andy), loving grandfather of Isabella, Olivia & Adam, dear son of the late Marge (nee Kennedy) & George Nienaber, loving brother of Tim Nienaber (Julie), Tom Nienaber , the late Patty Benken (Tom) & the late Peg May (late Frank). Jim was a 1967 graduate of Elder High School.

On March 28, 2021 heaven gained a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, leader, storyteller, conversationalist and comedian. Jim loved life and loved people. He loved to laugh and be goofy. He kept those around him guessing with his stories and jokes. Although not the best student in his younger years, Jim had a natural calling to pursue coaching and teaching. Many students and athletes were blessed with his leadership and ability to motivate others. He spent over 30 years teaching and coaching football at several area public and private schools including his alma mater, Elder High School. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing, watching sports and everything Elder. Although Jim will be greatly missed, he will never be forgotten by those whose lives he has impacted.
