Alberta Leone "Lee" Howard

Mrs Alberta Leone (Mahaney) Howard, age 88, of Harrison, Ohio, entered this life on December 12, 1932, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late, Leo St George and Alberta (Losey) Mahaney and was known as Muggsie to family and Leone or Lee to friends. Her early life was on her Dads farm on Four Mile Road, Campbell County, Kentucky. Leone graduated Highland High School in Fort Thomas at the age of 16. Leone worked her way through 4 years of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She married her Miami Sweetheart, the late John Elmer Howard, on March 30, 1953 in Silver Grove, Kentucky. Lee retired from teaching at C. O. Harrison Elementary in Oak Hills School District and worked full time as an Administrative Assistant. She retired from her last employment at Bayley Place at the age of 76. Her memberships included the AppleSiders, the Beekeepers Assn., the Dry Dredgers, the Girl Scouts of America, the OH & National Education Assns., the North Bend United Methodist Church & the spouses of Cleves-Three Rivers Kiwanis.
Lee passed away at 7pm, Sunday, August 1, 2021, at her granddaughter, Leah Davis house on Flora Road in Harrison, Ohio.
Lee will be missed by her 3 daughters, Susan Springer of Cleves,Ohio, Barbara Seibert of Sunman, Indiana, and Judith Fitz and her husband, Ken of Grove City, Ohio. She was loved by 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo St George & Alberta (Losey) Mahaney, her husband,John E Howard, her son, Thomas John Howard, and her siblings, David St George and Wm Adolph Bill, and Loma Pearl Mahaney.
